Well, considering you're a hunter and blizzard has really toned you down this season against some of the stronger setups in 2s (Cleaves LOL) war/druid dk/druid etc... I ran 3s with a hunter, ofcourse your COMMON cleave, but... we hit 2450 in about 2 nights of 3+ Hours a night Arenas, find a solid Ret/Priest and switch things up for Marksman (Double Deterrence and Traps = WIN!) BUT! I'll give you the basic mindset of what needs to happen every match...

Obviously peel for your healer if the ret is good he'll have Freedoms/Cleanses/Bops for all arena members to ensure you're not in a shitty situations on what his cooldowns can allow.

For you, most of the time there should only be 1 Dispeller on a team (Depending on comp) Most common comps like i've said -> War/Druid/Ret(or)DK = No dispells and (ret/hunter/priest) 2 dispells etc... I'm sure you catch the drift, Basically what you need to do is setup the kill by forcing trinkets and Defensive cooldowns (Scatter/Freezing Arrow the Dispeller) If there ISN'T a dispeller Trap the Healer.

You most likely will NOT be able to get a kill on the first Scatter+Freezing, If you're playing with priest like I said he can fear after the trinket or trap for the trinket etc.... Rinse and repeat until you have a viable chance for a kill setup.

Paladin (ofcourse) for CC / CD Usage needs to repent off DR on your trap (Depending on time) hammer DPS/Repent Other DPS for no possible peels. Using dispells/freedoms will win all matches.

In the meantime, setting up a kill for mage/rogue/priest isn't going to be easy, you're a soft counter to the team but they can turn it around easily on a nasty open.

I'm a little to tired to write more but goodluck with your arena adventures!

    Def Hunter/Ret pally.
Stack res. Most teams will go for you first instead of the ret pally due to bubble.
As a 2100+ DK, me and my druid partner would go for hunter first while the ret blew the shit out of me and the hunter kited/cced me and the druid.

So yeah, Ret Pally is probably your best bet. Make sure you're geared though.

I strongly suggest Surv Hunter/Resto Druid, or Surv Hunter/ Disc Priest.

If you dislike teaming with a healer, then, in my opinion, Hunter/Hunter or BM Hunter/ Aff Warlock are two great setups to consider.

in 3v3 pick druid or pala for healer and dk/warlock for second dps

Hunter / Paladin is the weakest of the healers now.
    Priest is probably the strongest.

You need someone to assist with DPS, so regardless of the partner make sure they're actually going to play offensively.

Hunter/Ret from what i can understand, its strong and you got more than enough CC to take a kill shot one of the healers/dps

Hunter/ret should work very well, try out some different setups and see what you like the most.
