    Text Alignment Formatting In A Thread

    Is it possible to add options to the post editor? An ability to tab text would be huge for formatting.

    Right now the only semi clean way to space text apart, to me at least, is to add periods. i.e.

    text...............text.................text

    I would love to be able to press tab or something and insert blank space. Space Bar only allows one space in between text. If I add more it will simply remove them when I post.

    I dont really see a need to add this, where would you need to add unnecessary spaces?

    I copied this from my thread. As you can see it's difficult to align the information. Maybe it isn't a big deal to others but it looks like crap to me.

    Human Male (HuM)
    Human.. xxxxxxxxxxx HuM->HuF
    Dwarf... HuM->DwM HuM->DwF
    Night Elf HuM->NiM HuM->NiF
    Gnome.. HuM->GnM HuM->GnF
    Draenei. HuM->DrM
    Orc....... HuM->OrM
    Scourge HuM->ScM HuM->ScF
    Tauren.. HuM->TaM
    Troll...... HuM->TrM
    Blood Elf HuM->BeM HuM->BeF

    I agree ubermonkey. It would also be nice to fix the bullet points.

    I once made a super post (with bulletpoints) and I didn't know that they didn't work...well, needless to say it looked like crap afterward.

    There are alignment bbcodes, they're half-secret though, and I forgot them.
    Ones like [imr] or something

    Actually, with this function you could build REALLY nice threads... Like this for example (yes I know its Dutch, but you can understand the idea). That topic has its own layout, and imo it looks really nice. Its just an awesome feature for shops, or service posts. And ofcourse other discussion threads.

    That thread is all HTML posts. (Something we don't allow members to post. Allowing members to post HTML poses a huge security risk.)

    As for the issue with the bulleted lists, I believe I told Ket about that a while ago, but it never got fixed. (I just use the numbered list, as that still seems to work.)

    Personally, I'd like to see tabs allowed. But I don't see it happening.

    Best thing you could probably do, is use the [code] tags, as that preserves spacing.

    Or... you can get creative with colors to 'mask' the 'spacers'. But again, it's annoying.

    No, that isn't HTML. That are UBB table tags with background images. You can view the layout of the topic here, if you scroll down you can see the source code.

    But that is my point; allowing this kind of "table" tags can make a new sort of topics. And the best of all: Its safe!

    Thats too much spacing JD

    You need a [tab] tag or something rofl. that or make it so 10 spaces ( ) doesn't look like one (like it just did...)
    Look at your post, now back to mine; Now back to your post, now back to mine. Sadly, it isn't mine, but if you stopped trolling and started posting legitimate content, it could look like mine. Look down, backup, where are you? You're scrolling through threads, reading the post your post could look like. What did you post? Back at mine; It's a reply saying something you want to hear. Look again and the reply is now diamonds.

    Well, maybe it looks fine on your little square 14" monitor. But for someone with a 24" Full HD monitor he has to turn his head everytime he wants to see the next result.

    So, as Dragonshadow already stated: The spacing is just way too big.
