Awesome skinning/farming/grinding spot 33-38

A lot of ppl may know this already but, this location south of the race NPCs in Shimmering Flats is an awesome place to skin, collect gold or grind. The basilisks range from 33-35 and drop medium, heavy leather and hides when skinned. The trash that they drop sells for 15-30s per 10 which is decent coin, and ive gotten a few greens and a couple BoE blues on multiple chars. Also, they are fairly easy to kill with a mad respawn rate (the gazer's may give melee a bit of trouble but once you get higher you can kill them before the stun) and give 18-20k exp per hour up to about 36ish then it drops to about 17-18k exp per hour which is still good.

I think he (she?) means 18-20k experience

yea sorry meant XP lol *edited. ALSO these things have a mad respawn rate. on my decently geared cat druid i could burn down about 5-6 before they started popping again (there's enough for 2 people to grind very well)

This place is just the best for 33-36 but common sense I think.

There's another trick for melee classes. When I lvled my druid there, I noticed that when the basilisk's are casting their stun, just run away for a short moment, and he will fail in stunning you. Every once and then he will try to cast it again, just repeat the step and you'll easily kill him. When I was on my druid, I used his casting time to heal and/or entangle him

There is also a rare Basilisk spawn there, an elite 37 who drops a nice BoE blue sword. Basilisk Blade or something I believe it is called... Seen it sell for quite a bit on AH

Yes its a lvl 37 elite there who drops http://www.thottbot.com/i8223 Really nice wep for a low lvl.. Still using it on my 36 hunter.


BUt i think u should go to Dustwallow Mars @ lvl 35 Great xp and much more to skinn there!
