    Lesser known areas...

When I say lesser known I just mean that I've never come across these routes/areas on youtube or surfing the web. I'm sure there are people here that have been to them. I just get tired of seeing the same crap: Old IF, IF Airfield, Troll Village etc.

None of these require huge jumps, anyone level 60 or above would survive if they free falled...though some slowing device would come in handy.

First is the ZF area. Most people wallclimb over the entrance to get to instanced Gadgetzan. I was messing around with a different route and I found this strange Uldaman like excavation area. You go about 50yds into the instance turn right and climb the wall, then do some climbing over the mts. After you get on top and walk around for a bit you will come to a shear drop. I was lvl 63 and survived the fall. You should be able to see the excavation from the top of the cliff as well.

The next area is ZG. I know it can be reached by going through STV, but if you are a lower lvl like I was you can go through Darkshire as well. Find the point on the map where Darkshire and STV meet, and just wall climb the mts.
A slow effect may need to be used but if youre careful enough you should be able to jump down to uninstanced ZG.

Next we have, Dire Maul. I'm pretty sure there might be a quicker way, but I started in Desolace. Go east to where the Kolkar(sp?) Centaurs are. If you have an eye for wallclimbing, the route to the top should become apparent. The top narrows once you get there so there is only one way to go, just head towards Feralas.

If you need help locating these areas, check out http://mapwow.com/ it has the actual topography complete with the "Dead Zones." I use it to plan my routes and look for new areas. Happy Exploring

Falling damage is Percentage of Health. Rogues have an ability that reduces the amount of damage taken severely. I believe it's called 'Safe Fall'

    Re: Lesser known areas...

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll try to find some more places soon.

"that first area looks like the place in thousand needles, right before gadgetzan or so."

Yup, you guys are right. After checking out the map, it would be the shimmering flats area.

And yes, rogues do have "safe fall." I didn't take that into consideration...but if somone wanted to go down bad enough I'm sure they could come up with some creative way down.

    Re: Lesser known areas...

Yep its true. Fall damage is a percentage of health. If a level 70 can survive a jump, a level 1 can, too.

    Re: Lesser known areas...

It's really nice to see some new places. I get tired of people who think their posts of "How to get into Hyjal" are cool and unique :yuck:
