    [ArcEmu]Making your server public without using Hamachi! (Advanced, but works)

    The repack I use: (Many glitches, but It has everything you need to get it started!) Johveds Repack

    Not my guide, can't tell you whos, but hes not on this site so dont +Rep anyone for this guide!

    Making your server public without using Hamachi

    Go to No-IP
    Register there.

    Log in to your account.
    Click 'Hosts/Redirects' at the top.

    Click 'Add Host'.
    Then, enter your external IP (What Is My IP Address? - IP Address Lookup, Internet Speed Test, IP Info, plus more)

    Also, enter a hostname for your clients to use. Write this hostname in your arcemu-realms.conf(Realms Config) file.
    Write this hostname in your WoW client's Realmlist.wtf file.
    If you are behind a router make the ports are open

    Code:
    Forwarding Ports

    (Note: This is only required if you are wanting others to connect to your server from outside of your network.)

    http://www.portforward.com has a really nice guide on how to forward ports on your router. It's suggested that you follow them for your router.

    The following ports are used for ArcEmu:

    * 3724 (Realmlist)
    * 8129 (World)
    * 80 (Webserver [not required])

    How do i know if im behind a router?
    If your LAN-IP(Run>cmd>ipconfig) is the same as your external-IP (What Is My IP Address? - IP Address Lookup, Internet Speed Test, IP Info, plus more) then you are not behind a router, but make sure your firewall is off.

    Since your PC cant 'understand' your External-IP if you are behind a router, you will have problems connection to your own server... this is because when the logonserver tells your wow client to connect to 'Something.no-ip.org' you wont get a connection. To solve this you need to forward your IP to an IP that your PC can 'use':

    Code:
    open c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts in notepad add:
    127.0.0.1 YOURNO-IPADDRESS

    at the bottom, and then save.

    then go to Start -> Run -> Type in "cmd" and press "OK" -> Type in "ipconfig /flushdns"

    Also, make sure that if you have a firewall installed (Windows Firewall in Windows or Vista, for example), you forward the neccessary ports in it. If you don't know how to do this, look through the Help files for your Firewall, or uninstall it all together.

    Note: If you do this successfully, this means that *anyone* from across the globe can connect to your server, so make sure you have enough bandwidth before you start spreading your hostname around the intarweb...

    Darkwiz787: A common problem is being unable to edit Hosts. Easy fix though, only for Vista.
    Go into control panel,
    hit user accounts and family saftey,
    hit user accounts
    hit turn User Account Control on or off.
    Turn it off.
    NOTE: Turn it back on when done!

    Ok. It has a few glitches, but some of them *may have* been fixed.
    For example illidan dont work.
    And naxx is still full of level 61 elites.

    I have a brand new issue my friend, when I try to log on, I'll click on the realm, It'll load, and then It'll take me back to the realm list.

    K thanks for the files... but censor your sites name and your external IP! I just thought that someone could potentially take over your server with that info.

    EDIT: I found a little something in your config

    Your external IP has incorrect syntax, it has a comma not a decimal.
    EG. 00.000.000.000 instead of 00,000.000.000

    I seen that earlier but It's only doing the same thing with the decimal

    Well im no Emu Expert, but only one more thing I could think of.
    <Listen Host = "0.0.0.0"<---- Put your website there
    ISHost = "0.0.0.0"
    RealmListPort = "3724"
    ServerPort = "8093">

    Ok, that didn't work but I heard that if you create a second server in the Realms.conf file with it set to 127.0.0.1 then the host is supposed to log onto that and everyone else is supposed to log onto the other, but whenever I try to logon to the local one, It disconnects me from the server.
