    WesternUnion recall question

I've heard some stories about people who lost money they had gotten via WU from scams. I am obviously not a lawyer nor anything of such area hence why I have no idea how exactly this works.

As for myself, I had never seen it happen but I did hear of other people who had.

My question is this : Do you have any experience with WU recalls

You can't do Western Union recalls. In my experience and how it works, You send money through a wire. There is not binding contract on why you send the money, it's just a money forward. They don't do the whole, "You didn't give him the product" spiel. So you have to be very safe. However, On their site you can contact and cancel a wire transfer, but really if your dealing with someone who is ripping you off, your out of luck cause they probably are already there picking up the money.

They prove that they are the person who is suppose to receive the money with an id, they get paid in cash. Once it's been delivered, there is no recalling. It is there word against yours, considering this is just a agreement to transfer funds, and has nothing to do with an actual checkout process.

    Hope this helps,

I do know their methods but I have heard law enforcement can make a change. Again, no experience in this but I have heard from people who did.

Law enforement, it would be like the same thing as paypal. U can just take the money and run, they can prove it to law enforcement, but it is highly unlikely that they would do anything. So yeah, if u are going to scam, don't worry, if u got scammed, ur screwed.

This is like telling ur friend to put gas into ur car... He probably won't but he might (bad example but it gets to the point)

Unless the scammer is in your same county 99% of the time they do not follow up. Same with ID theft. Once you get over 5K though things do change a bit sothe amount can matter too.

WesternUnion requires full identication by sending/recieving money, you can make a fake Aus paypal but you cant make a fake WU! Remaining annonymous isnt a option in this scam. So my opinion is... fail.

Even if the guy that u are scamming knows who u are, then really they would just look u up and call u. All u gotta do is call ur phone provider and tell them so and so is calling u, and trying to get u to buy a blender or something. Another option is to get a fake id.

you can recall money, if they send it from their registered bank account with western union.

If it's plain cash, i'm not sure but i very much doubt they can do anything.
