make it so its like this:

> WoW Exploits - Must have 10 posts or more to view.

> WoW Bots & Hacks - Must have 30 posts or more to view.

> WoW Strategy Guides - Must have 25 post or more to view.

> WoW Emu. Exploits - Must have 25 post or more to view.


Also, get the moderators to crack down on spam. There could be a button only mods can see on every post called "Spam" when they click it, it subtracts a post count from the person who posted it. This is so noone can post 30 posts of "nice" or "neat", and get to view the forums.


This will get rid of allllll the 0 poster's and will make MMOwned more active.

4127 HAVE 0 POST COUNT!

That means (out of 5128 registered members) Theres a little less than 200 with more than 10 posts!

THATS RIDICULOUS!

We have 5128 members yeah, but only 193 of them have more than 10 posts. And about a thousand who have actually lifted a finger to type one letter. -.-

I HATE sites that do that... just make everything important like 5 + posts, considering if you block most places where will they even get 25+ posts and stuff?.. i vote for 5-10 for most. Up to mods of course

hm, amedis just pointed out that at the bottom it says 5760 members.. but when u click "Search members" it says 5128

afiwarlord: we have a lot of inactive users we know.. we have a lot of users with not many posts... we know.... BUT alot of our RESPECTED users was the ones spamming the "post about the person above" thread THE MOST!!! so really, imo those are the ones that should be getting a warning first as they are the ones who should be agood example for the leechers.
AND on a site note... post count is NOTHING... rep is what should matter..

Users are considered unactive if they don't open the confirmation e-mail when they register their account and click on the confirmation link... I'll do a Prune of them soon.

As for restricting forums based on views, I don't think I'm going to do that based on the amount of spam we'll end up getting.
example.. Warez forums do this to prevent leechers.. so we'll end up getting posts in general like "Heres my 1 thread" and it'll be something that no one will ever read, soon that forum will be filled with posts with 0 VIEWS that no one ever reads.. and a waste of database space and server resources..
From my personal experiences I doubt that I will make that kind of change to the forums.. I don't ever want to make post count a factor for anything otherwise we'll end up with spam..
I hate forums that have SPAM forums because no one ever reads those. And if I made the general forums not count toward your postcount when you posted in it, people would be mildly discouraged toward posting in it.. I'm debating doing that though.. so give my your opinions of it.

as i said earlier.... post count shows NOTHING... reputation shows, who is contributing and helping out in the community... large post count can be gained the spamming omg yes will try that... or ^Agree with above..
reputation however can only be gained by other users giving it to you.
