    The classic AH scam

I don't know if this has been posted before, but I'm gonna repost it now in case it hasn't been.

The AH scam is simple, not only does it mess up Auctioneer, but it may get a dumb person to give you a decent amount of gold. Get a few mats, for example: Linen Cloth. Put a few stacks of linen cloth for a decent price on the AH. After that, put a few more stacks with a pathetic buyout, but a good starting bid. If all works well, somebody not paying attention close enough may buyout your stack of overpriced linen cloth.

I swear, this has worked for me only twice, but it was well worth what I earned. (It may take a while for someone dumb enough to come along)

This CANNOT get you banned or suspended. If for some reason you did, all you would need to say is "I didn't want anyone to buyout, I wanted people to bid so I set the buyout really high".

Sorry in advance if this has been posted numerous times :X

Another really good gold sacm for the AH is get liek 6 stacks of linen and put em all up for Buyouts that are a little bit lower the all the other stacks people have posted. Then, say u put em up for 65s bid and 80s buyout and then put one right in the middle of all of the stacks u post for 65g bid and 80g buyout, and this actually works quite often, i have gotten hundreads of gold just from silk and linen

Hmm or here's 1 more. Put up like 7 stacks of linen // silk // w/e for like slighty more // less then the current price, then put up like 15 for like 9999 g buyout. Auctioneer scans it, and finds that all silk is a good deal. Bingo. Silk sold.

My friend fell for this too, and on the WoW forums, numerous people complained about it.
