My accounts were stolen...

Hey guys, this is Shizmaster. My original account was stolen...along with my wow account.

I know it was someone from this forum, since it had the website addy in my guild note. All my characters were deleted except one, and he was naked in mt. hyjal.

I don't know who it was, but I know now that nothing is sacred...I mean..I contributed to this site, and was planning on contributing more...now I'll be lucky to even get all my characters back...

Thanks mmowned... I guess I have learned a valuable lesson. As for my forum account (Name: Shizmaster) I have no idea how to get it back.

Keyloggers blow, and I know you will all say it's my own fualt, but you wouldn't say that if all your characters were gone and you had nowhere else to turn.

Well, I have recovered my forum account. Now here's hoping I will be able to get my stuff back on WoW.

I really do hope for someone's sake, that this person is found...

the only way i could have gotten a key logger is through Inner Space (so now that I know, please take caution and don't use it...)

Well, honestly I was interested in trying some gliding, so I tried to find something cheap and easy to learn. I decided to go with ISXWoW and Inner Space. The best I can think of is that the program had an "auto account login" feature that was suposed to auto login into wow. It didn't work, and since I was somewhat inexperinced with the whole thing, it's the only way I could figure them have gotten my info.

The only other thing, is there is a post somewhere that is both Joana's and Brian's guides, which I d/led. The only other thing I have been doing is posting and such.

Why I know it was a keylogger: I logged into my girl friend's account after a few of my friends started asking me why I wasn't talking in game when I logged on vent. Obviously to MY suprise, I hadn't been on all day, so I asked the guy how he did it and he just replied with (<3, Hope you enjoyed the keylogger).

I have already contacted blizz and all, they said it is being taken care of. I didn't have much gold anyway, so that doesn't bother me. However, I had some really nice gear for my warrior, I was able to push his attack power up over 1,100 (only lvl 4. I love playing wow so I hope this all get worked out somehow.../sigh

Its possible that you downloaded a program from a thread which i missed (very unlikely) , or you downloaded something from a thread before any moderator got to it and scanned it . Just in case we missed something or that keylogger is well hidden , could you post a detailed list of all the programs which you downloaded from MMOwned.com ? Only post the programs which you downloaded (not guides or model edits) .

oh well now you've learnt to scan all things, and if soemthign says to enter ur user n pass that not offical like a free glider that requires u to enter ur wow user n pass dont use it lol. its obviuos

Happend to my Brother and my friend.

My friend had about 3 level 30-40s

about 4 level 20-30s

And 1 level 56.

They weren't deleted just everthing taken away.

And my brother had:

2x level 60s only one was stripped. And it was the char he made when it WoW came out for first time. But the hacker didn't take the money o.O
