    [Naxx] 10 man Sapphiron

    This is the most difficult fight for you healers out there. Especially if your guild is lazy and don't get frost resistance gear (it isn't totally needed, but it helps a load).

    Once you have defeated every boss in Naxxramas you will be able to go to Frostwyrm Lair. You run to the blue portal thing that you sometimes see Mr.Bigglesworth on.



    Once you get teleported DO NOT MOVE FORWARDS AT ALL!! If you DO move forwards you risk aggroing the boss, causing a load of people to die and making the pull quite tricky.

    When you first appear in Frostwyrm Lair you will see a big round room in front of you, there will be bones swirling around and a skull in the middle. Once inside that room you start the encounter with Saph..he has a HUGE aggro radius (although they reduced it a bit in 3.0.8a).

    HIS ABILITIES:

    Frost Aura: Once Saph is engaged everyone in the raid will be taking 1200 frost damage every 2 seconds until Saph is dead. After 15 minutes this increases to 7200 damage every 2 seconds (this is his enrage).

    Life Drain: This will drain 2-3k health from 2 players and heal Saph for 4-6k. This should be dispelled fast, although do not make it your main priority.

    Chill: This is a big bastard of a blizzard. It deals 4-6k damage to everyone in it and slows their movement speed by 50% for 10 seconds.

    Cleave: A cleave with a 180 degree radius in front of him, will one shot ANYONE who isn't a tank..I know that all dragons cleave but this is a particularly bad one.

    Tailswipe.

    PHASE 1:

    In Phase 1 the tank should run to the center of the room and each group should go to different sides of the tank (i.e Group 1 run into the room and go left, parallel to the center and group 2 run in and go right, parallel to the center) The reason for this will become clear in Phase 2.

    Once the cool animation of Saph being 'built' the tank should get aggro VERY fast. Normally the raid should give him about 5 seconds to gain sufficient threat. Then the DPS moves in.

    All melee will be attacking him at his BACK legs, to be very clear of the cleave. If a blizzard crosses them they must warn you and run through Saph to the other side to avoid it. The ranged DPS just stay where they were when the fight started, and nuke him.

    Throughout the fight 2 blizzards will be up, this is one reason that you divide to 2 different sides, so that the blizzards dont stack on the raid twice..meaning a wipe.

    If you're tanking saph and a blizzard gets near you, ONLY MOVE BACKWARDS OR FORWARDS. Do not let anyon get hit by that cleave.


    PHASE 2:

    Every so often Saph will go to the center (as in..slightly re-adjust himself) and fly into the air. Everyone in each group should huddle up and the tank must run to one of the groups.

    NORMALLY one person on each side will get ice blocked, you run behind this person or you die!!! However, sometimes there are 2 iceblocks on the same side. If this is the case the side without any ice blocks has to run to the edge of the room. There is lots of slimey green stuff there. This will get them out of range of his nasty Frost Breath. (see below)

    He does a Frost Breath, signified by the emote "Sapphiron takes a deep breath". You wil see a blue orb descend from Saph and it will explode killing anyone not behind an ice block, or at the edge of the room. As soon as this happens the person in the Ice block will explode, causing a small amount of damage to the people behind them.

    IMPORTANT: IF SOMEONE IS ON A SLOPED SURFACE AND THEY GET ICE BLOCKED IT WILL NOT WORK! IF THAT HAPPENS EVERYONE WHO SHOULD BE BEHIND THAT PERSON MUST RUN TO THE DGE OF THE ROOM!

    (cant stress that enough)

    Once that explodes he will come back down and resume his attacks as normal.

    Repeat this process until he's dead.
