KooKoo's Guide to Glider & Ppather

The reason
I created this guide was because of the increasing posts of people wanting help setting up glider & ppather aswell as having issues with it. This guide is using the latest glider and ppather builds as of ( 2008-12-24)

This guide will teach you how to install glider and ppather step by step.

Requirements for Glider & Ppather

* Windows XP / Vista 32-Bits
Windows XP / Vista 64-bits are not supported as of today, there are several workarounds but as shadow driver is built for the 32-bits kernel, you will be open for warden if you use 64-bits, its simply not functioning under 64-bits OS

* .NET Framework for Windows XP / Vista
The Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 redistributable package installs the .NET Framework runtime and associated files required to run applications developed to target the .NET Framework v2.0 such as Glider

* Glider
Make sure you are downloading it from mmoglider.com and not from somewhere else.
Notice when you are installing it, if you have a antivirus installed, it will propably go off as it recognizes the shadow.sys file as a trojan, but its a rootkit (Hiding the glider process from Warden). for the definition rootkit go to this link: Rootkit - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

* Ppather
Ppather can be found on this link: Files Section - Pather
MAKE SURE YOU DOWNLOAD THE PATCHER

* What else?
- Glider with elite subscription. go to Glider for more information on how to obtain it.

- Winrar - link: WinRAR archiver, a powerful tool to process RAR and ZIP files

Installing Glider & Ppather

I will be using the builds
- Glider version: 1.7.8
- PPather version: 1.04d

Start by downloading the glider and ppather patcher (pather build: 1.04d and Glider build: 1.7.8 and put them into a directory so you have an overview over them




Continue with moving the ppather patcher.zip to another directory or put it on desktop and start deploying glider by clicking on GliderDeploy.exe, after it is done a window will pop up and will ask you to write what you want glider should be named (I always write Winamp).



Afterwards it will ask you if you want to make a shortcut on desktop and then you choose yes.



Now you have come to the finish point where glider tells you that the installation is completed and asks wether you want to start glider or not. Lets choose not to start it for now.

* Remember to put in your ELITE KEY into Glider

Time for the fun part! The ppather system, we will start by extracting it out from the zip file and then just start it. When you started it click on the white input field as we are going to point it to your glider directory. When you have pointed it to your glider directory, choose new install



When you have installed ppather your window should look something like this



Just to verify your installation I have also screenshotted a picture of my glider directory for you to compare and check if it is the same.
- Notice that the shadow.sys and the randomgirblename is there because I started glider in beforehand to put in my glider key it shouldn't be there in your directory.

you maybe need to upgrade your ppather to 1.0.4d
you have the instructions on the ppather download page
