How do you verify last name on an account?

Recently traded with someone. He told me the first and last name on the account, is there any way I can check to make sure he gave the correct first and last name on it?

To check if the last name is correct, You have to make a trial account with the same last name as the guy told You, and try to transfer character to that trial account.

If it is the real name, then You will only see disclaimer about restrictions when transfering to trial account.

If it is not the real name, then You will see red window saying 'Accounts last name doesn't match with that accounts last name' or something like that.

I made 2 trial accounts, one with the same last name as the one he told me and the other trial account with a totally different name. However, I get the same error message when I try transferring to either of the 2 trial accounts "Can not be a trial account".

Any other way to confirm the last name he told me is correct?

Are You sure You get the SAME error and SAME text about trial account?

I know that it is Saturaday, but when monday comes go ahead and call blizz and say you want to change the email. They will ask for Full name, account name, Secret answer. If the name you have is correct, then they will let you change the email, you dont have to just hang up if your info is right. If it is wrong they will say sorry the name on the account is not the one you told us. I dont know what else you can do besides this.

you cannot do this with a trial account...

you need to call into customer service and attempt to access the account-- they will either say "how can I help" or "thats not the name I have" then you will know
