All of the current players refer to 11/11/08 as the "Terrorist Attack by Blizzard" but the truth is, Diablo II has not died. It has been dead for YEARS now. Discuss.

Dead for years, is that one of the new runewords?
diablo II never died, even 11/11/08 didnt kill it maybe d3 will kill it, but not even sure about that :P
Yes, it's dead, thats why the servers are still going, it's still in shops, and there are a jack load of people playing it right now.
I'm just waiting on my keys to get un-banned
Probably the people that are playing it are people that comps wont' play any thing else -.-
The reason most of the people still play is because their computers won't run anything else. Everyone good has quit, the GM PvP community that once was is now dead, and reduced to Hammerdins charging mindlessly around the moor and spamming hammers. But that's what the game has been like for the past few years, I miss .09 and .10 :/.
Diablo 3 will be just like World of Warcraft, removing the ability to stat your own character is 99% of the uniqueness of your character.
They still ban people on this game?
In addition it will be necessary to Aion Gold more
crafting material. This can take a huge amount of time since many Unique and Legendary items use
between ten and fifty materials each. Aion Gold
is possible to find what you need straight off the market but this still cost a lot of
money, at times an extreme amount of WOW Gold.Once you have
gathered all the items you need it is time to use Divine Power to try and proc. higher level armor
out of Buy WOW Gold recipes. This process can be very hit or miss,
so it is advised to be at level 450 Armorsmithing already as this way you will minimize
WOW Power Leveling.
Yeah.. that mass ban happened fast and it took hundreds of thousands of accounts in a few hours and straight after that they did the old rust storm to get rid of all the duped and copied items around, such as the mass duping of Sojs/Skillers etc.
Has it died?
No.. there are still thousands of people playing it, with hundreds of games still up. Most of the games are baal runs with a botter in it, but there is still players in the runs leeching.
- On the other hand, if i were to say why diablo had died.. it would be 100% down to the fact that even a 10 year old could go onto a forum, collect a bot and then run it to max level. Pointless, ruining of the game etc. There is one community left that i know of and thats Guild Medieval on EU.Battle.Net - They have a website with 100% free and clean environment, as well as a ranking system such as knights and stuff.. pretty cool for a <legit> guild/community. (they also play other games)
And posting in this 2 year old thread last bumped by an advertiser is necessary why...?
DIABLO IS DED LOL
That was pretty much what you said, theres no need to post in a 2 year old thread.
Ah, Diablo II, the memories...
Botting private hell baal hammers and meph mf sorcs 24/7 on 5 different accounts and manually do ubertrist with my smiter (all on hardcore ladder, of course) and make lots of JSP.
Good times, good times... I think I still have 5 working cdkey sets somewhere, but I'm not sure if they got caught in the last banwave. Might check it out later.
