    Account Retrieval fax

how many times do you think you can fax in a id with a new name but all the rest same info? does blizzard save the information and stuff? also what happens if blizz does catch that your id has been sent before?

edit: i guess no one understood it what i did was i sent in a id and the account got unlocked then like 2 hours later i sent in the same id but i just changed the info but the pic was the same and the dates and numbers. What was different was it had completely different addresses, sig, and name.

    ...What?

The name on the ID and the name on the account must match, exactly.

If you were stupid enough to send in your ID when the name didn't match and they didn't catch on, then you're probably safe because they don't hold onto it for long. But man...

Currently NOT doing my famed ID service. Do not contact me about it.

i think he mean's he sends in the same ID for different accounts, and only changes name for each account, but the picture and everything else stays the same.

I'm sure eventually they would find out though.

yea oovavoo knows what im asking. i only did it twice and the second time blizzard sent me a email that they don't accept the id type. (I was pretty impatient and didn't really wait long enough to send it in at a later time because the same person looked over my submissions for both ids so im guessing he rememberd the pic) what do people suggest to do? change the photo and other info like b day?

For US, if an account is locked, the name on the ID must obviously match the name on the account. This is common sense.

What im saying is, i dont think blizzard checks the ID and the info on the account to make sure they are they same, but rather just uses that ID to make sure that info on the account is correct, if it inst they change it. i believe on the form you fax/mail in it actually says use a different email address, one that inst compromised.

I think he's asking if he can send in the exact same ID, EXCEPT the only thing changed is the name. Picture/Address/DOB still the same. Seems like an extremely stupid thing to do, but it would save a lot of time depending how long it takes you to make ID's

I'm going to assume we are still both talking about US, and you're talking about these forms:

    http://ftp.blizzard.com/pub/WoW/othe...t-Recovery.pdf
    http://ftp.blizzard.com/pub/WoW/othe...ery-Notary.pdf

These are the forms that can be sent when an account is locked. Both require an ID...the 2nd also requires a notary. These are not account info update forms; the name on the ID must exactly match the name on the account. I'm still not quite sure if you're talking about a different form, but if you're account is locked, I know for a fact, from many years spent volunteering in WoW US Blizzard Customer Service, plus tons of experience as an MMOwned member and scammer, that the name on the ID, the name you write on the form, and the name the account is registered to must be the same.
