1st) If it's your account, do all that if you asked to have your SQ/A back
2nd) If it's not your account, don't respond.

Its a scam, theres no reason why they need the 3 highest characters on your account, nor would they ask for that stuff in an email, and to top it off, I doubt it would be an email from

    [email protected]

it would be [email protected] if I'm not mistaken, plus if you were just switching emails then I don't see why that would send that to recover your SQ/A, I think its a scam personally, if you want to recover your SQ/A its better off to do it over the phone,

Thats what I thought as well initially but I did actually speak to a blizzard representative named Ted regarding said account, and I had created the email address for this account and this account alone.

Edit: Is there any way to test out the SQ/A? The answer I used earlier today worked and I would like to double check and make sure it works now. I just need something that will use the SQ/A to verify it.

Regardless if this is real or fake, ask blizzard for another email hehe.

if it really is them, they will send it again, if not, you got a real blizz letter.

Just got confirmation from a US senior GM. This is a new method Blizzard is doing, for retrieving the SQA.

Source: World of Warcraft - English (NA) Forums -> Possible fraud scam emailed to me?

Have you called or emailed them recently, asking for the SQA? If so, that's why the email was sent.

Anyway, before, you would pretty much HAVE to send in ID to retrieve the SQA, for US. Now, if you have the last 4 numbers of the credit card, and both CD-keys, and the first and last name, you can get it through email. Presumably, you could also get it over the phone if you supply this information.

If you do not have the last 4 digits of the CC, or the CD-keys, then you will have to send in ID.

Edit your topic, this seems like a big change. And quite honestly, looked very fake.

Currently NOT doing my famed ID service. Do not contact me about it.

    Try reading through the thread.

Also, MM, they only send this if you contact them, requesting the answer to your secret question. So, they'd only send it to you after you contacted them first.
