Another Gold Scam.

Just a little something I do every so often for a little extra gold.

This is fairly simple, and I find it works quite alot.

1. Buy a bunch of really cheap, non-stackable items. (I use blacksmith's hammers.)
2. Wrap them all in wrapping paper. (Can be found at most inns.)
3. "/who 50-60" to find a bunch of high levels to scam, write down their names.
4. Send each of them one of your wrapped blacksmith's hammers with COD. (I usually only put 1g COD.)
5. Come back later and see how many you got!

I find this works because 1g is not all that much, especially to a level 60, but you can send out tons of these little giftbox scams, and thus recieve tons of profit.

Not the best scam, but a favourite of mine!

This isnt a scam if you never gave out ay flase or intemiating information...But is really cheap And less of a chance of a ban... i like my new cOLOr!

I do this alot, I've never even been warned about it. However, if you're worried about getting reported just set yourself up with a guest account and do it form there. :]

I REALLY like this idea! It's not a scam, and you can easily get people to pay up to 2g or 3g to see what's inside. I would recommend 40-55 though. Those people most likely just got there and are hot-headed. Will easily pay to see what it is.

This CAN get you banned,suspended if some1 reports it to the GM's.Thus on my old acc i used to do this alot ,by going on ah and doing WTS [EPIC] and then C.O.D a white gloves from vendor wich made me like 500 g per day..But then i used it to C.O.D item worth 500g and the player reported it and i got screwd ..

Yes, but you have to understand, what you did is, indeed, a scam. this is in no way convincing the person its what its not. you dont claim that its an epic, or awesome twink item, or anything to that extent. you just send a giftwarped present to someone for a small few...i think i might try this just go down the list of 60s, grab a couple and put soemthing like "Do you REALLY want to know whats in here?" and make it 5 g C.O.D. in no way bannable if get get banned im freaking quiting wow that would be bull (%#* but its highly posible..stupid GMs think they arre all that.......im not jelous ore anything....

you can get banned for mass mailing. you cant get banned for telling ppl "u get epic" and not giving it.

I got a 72 hour suspension for doing this. Gm's are stupid...they thought it was misleading content with intent to take their money.

Guest pass works, but the GM has to be stupid as a pig ( which on my server they luckily are ), 'cause they'll see arrows pointing right to ye :P .

Still, it's a good way to get the cash, and some other exploits will help you keep the cash in case of a ban.

Works like a charm, logged on to my main, dont have many valuable epics, said WTS Lobotomizer, a reward from AV exalted, and said i'd sell for 65g, the guy said he was nearly AV exalted anyway but he'd buy because it was cheaper - he flew over from stormwind - seemed like an intelligent person, he put 50g in the trade window (thought he was cutting me down) and i put my dagger in Will Not Be Traded.

Trade Complete!

He said "cool", k thxbye", i said i needed to log soon before hand so i did, before he realised.
