That is stupid, that breaks the tradition of blizzard games, Battle.net has always been free, and should be free, the game isn't an MMO, and shouldn't be treated like one, it just needs to make money by the original purchase, and the purchase of an expansion.

I believe that the reason for the supposed "p2p" mentality is really for a Battle.NET 2.0 (Or whatever they're calling it). But either way, it's the same thing really.

But of course, I'd pay for it. I always liked that Diablo was free to play, but that may soon change with D3. It's not changing the fact that I'm pre-ordering that baby ASAP.

Of course you should want to pay. That money goes towards servers, new contents, fixing, security etc. There is no reason for you to want your game to be shitty.

Sure, the same thing with World of Warcraft right? From what I see they just want to make as much money as they can, hell we pay for World of Warcraft and we still got a laggy server, many bugs etc, it won't change if we also pay for Diablo 3. Hell I really detest the idea of P2P , you first buy the game at your local store and then you still need to expend money to play it, that's just a rip off.

if thats will happen there probably gonna lose alot of business from the people who have played all battle.net games and its a great game, and no p2p, thats what makes Diablo Series such a great game..

I quess there will be monthly fees involved since Blizzard will have to buy new servers and maintain them. Judging by the potential numbers of D3 players the hardware costs won't be small.
However, I think that it will just be a small fee, so not as much as WoW costs on a monthly basis.
