I was swimmign North alogn the West coast from westfall and I found this random little place called Newman's Landing, my mates tell me tits for a quest is this true? sorry i couldn't put a screeny idk how plus see if you can get on the roof there i did it.

Well i have heard of newmans landing too. I even have heard that when you enter the house, then you can see a copy of yourself or something like that... probably just a joke. And i can hardly believe that there is a quest there. Why blizzard have placed it there, i dont think anybody know... but blizzard also do some strange things :S

Me and my friends found Newman's Landing a while ago. We found it when trying to find an alternate way into the IronForge Airport. We found this probably about 6-7 months ago so it's not added new, but their is a dock and a sign that states the area is Newman's Landing. The house is full of Skeletons seemed like it was the model for an undead house that you find around trisfal. That's about all there is about Newman's Landing. No quest for it that I know of.

Newman's Landing is basically just a site seeing area. Not much use for it, but here is the link from WoWwiki.com http://www.wowwiki.com/Newman's_Landing

Newman's Landing has been found to be the area where alliance players are dropped when they first create a new character, just before the opening video sequence starts. If you stand on the island at a certain spot you may notice level 1 characters appearing for a brief instant before they disappear. A /who query on this character will then show them in the starting area of their race. This transition takes place so quickly that the new player does not even notice this area they are dropped in. Hence the name NEWman's Landing

Sorry about the spelling error, I psted the GM's about it they said they get the question many times they also said it's named after a <GM> Newman, so i guess tehre ya go and yes, they said it is a place where players are dropped b4 spawning
