    No more minimodding

I came up with this suggestion while going across one of my other favorite boards with loads of users.

Minimodding shouldn't be allowed on this site. Posts such as "/repost" are getting tiresome and they are taking up alot of the space in a thread when trying to find something useful.

Would make the board much cleaner and easier to browse through.

    Just my 2 cents anyway

    No more minimodding

If I had the power, I would slap you personally before any mods/admin got the chance. My suggestion on this suggestion thread is /close.

If we dont mini-mod then there would be a outbreak of reposts/ Rule breaking threads etc.

This is just plain ignorant in my opinion.

There are some things that are, and aren't helpful.

    Helpful:
-When a Repost is found, politely informing the poster that it was posted before, and providing a link to an older post, to show proof that it is, indeed a repost.
-Informing members in the Bawx, or on the forums, that they're breaking a rule, and should stop.

    Non-helpful:
-Spamming the thread with "REPOST OMFG I WISH I COULD -REP" and generally flaming for a mistake
-Telling somebody to piss off because they're breaking a rule.

A warning: It really pisses me off when people flame somebody for being helpful, such as when Jchunx points out that somebody is breaking a rule in the Bawx, and that they should stop, everybody tells him to stop mini-modding. It helps me as a Moderator, and let's the person know that the next time they're seen doing that, I'll go batshit crazy on them because they know better.
I used to be a Super Mod. Now I'm just Super, thanks for asking.

I believe that it would be better to report the posts than spam in them

That's basically what I just said, without the reporting part.

We wrote at the same time

I fully agree with Errage on this one - not all forms of minimodding are bad but the "repeating minimodding" where the advice keeps getting spammed should not be allowed

Ahh, I see what you mean now, I agree as well. Report the constant spammers? And from what I read in the rules it says, The Picture links are not aloud like the /Facepalm and LolCats.

    1. Typing /repost is a waste of server space.
    2. Typing /repost will most likely start flames against the thread starter.

Solution: Just press the report button. You don't even need to post... That's what it's there for.

    IMO;

    No saying "repost".

And keep the mini-modding to a minimum.

I don't see why so many people get pissed at people trying to help the 10+ staff members keep this site of over 50 thousand active members as clean as can be.

If I was a mod, I'd appreciate it.

Not to be offtopic because I agree it is helpful, but you should change the SB rules saying that if you arent "Cyan green etc then you arent a mod."

could be misinterpreted as dont tell people what to do unless your a mod.

Do NOT contact me about trading section stuff. Contact a section MOD instead.
