How to make your server public! (Hamachi)

Well, many people have made guides to make a server public with or without Hamachi. Most people have problems and the auther answers a few questions then gets annoyed and stops answering them. I have picked up a few things that other guides don't have.


Step One
Download Hamachi, you can do a google search for "hamachi"
When the installation is complete click on the bottom left icon that looks like a triangle. Click Create Network, and fill out the information. I would make an easy password like 123 or just don't add one at all.

Step Two
This is the easy part. Editing your configuration files. These can be found within the folder everything for your server is saved into. If you have ArcEmu you will have Logonserver, World, Realms, and Optional. For Ascent it is not much different. The First thing we are going to change is your Logonserver.conf file. Open it up with notepad.

Scroll down to where it says this

<Listen Host = "127.0.0.1"
ISHost = "127.0.0.1"
RealmListPort = "3724"
ServerPort = "8093">


Now Change it to look like this


<Listen Host = "Your Hamachi IP"**
ISHost = "Your Hamachi IP"**
RealmListPort = "3724"
ServerPort = "8093">

**Hamachi IP can be found by opening your Hamachi. It is the number on the very top.

Now we change your Realms.conf file
Like your Logonserver.conf file, open it with notepad.

Scroll down to

<LogonServer Address = "5.204.107.94"
Port = "8093"
Name = "Default Logon"
RealmCount = "1">


And change it to


<LogonServer Address = "Your Hamachi IP"
Port = "8093"
Name = "Default Logon"
RealmCount = "1">


Now go to


<Realm1 Name = "Realm Name"
Address = "127.0.0.1:8129"
Icon = "PVP"
Population = "1.0"
TimeZone = "1">

Change it to


<Realm1 Name = "Realm Name"
Address = "Your Hamachi IP:8129"
Icon = "PVP"
Population = "1.0"
TimeZone = "1">

Make sure the :8129 is still there!!

In order for your friends to join they must have Hamachi and be in your network. They also must have their realmlist set to your Hamachi IP
Don't forget to turn your network on! To do so, right click on your network and click "Go online"

Works great for me. Also when you set up a himachi and a friend joins don't forget afterwards when you log back into vent to right click on the name of the name of the server thing and hit go online. That was my problem and my friend couldn't get online :P

Yeah, but other guides don't have some of the things I have, that's why they don't work
