Hey i found this great program that turns that ugly mangos console window into a beautiful GUI program. Credits go to JDG from mangosproject.org and thus I take no credit for the development of this program i just thought i would share it with you. You Can find the link at the bottom.



Here are the features (Note that Some may not still Be True):

1. Players online count and show current/max.
2. Load addons/scripts
3. Set MOTD
4. Shutdown in certain time, including broadcast before shutdown
5. Broadcast from GUI
6. Create accounts
7. Show accounts online and characters associated
8. Ban account
9. Show all banned accounts
10. Remove bans from account
11. Kick selected account
12. Time ban account
13. Search-as-you-type accounts and characters
14. Restarter function included - restarts on crash/shows uptime/crash count
15. Restart Realm when Mangos crashes
16. Show console output - use the GUI tab as a console so no need to run multiple programs and switch between them to send custom commands
17. Configuration editor which signs files to prevent manual editing - as with restarter.
18. Displays MaNGOS CPU usage.
19. Shutdown/Restart/Kill Mangos and Realm easily
20. Backup and Restore Database easily
21. Full MOTD and broadcast editor with full colour support
22. Hide process on startup so only GUI is running.
23. Minimise to system tray and launch all function from menu
24. Alter transparency - might be useful - or at least some fun anyway
25. Lots of aesthetic improvements!!
26. Bug fixes with configuration editor and GUI startup
27. Resets online player accounts to 0 on Mangos crash
28. Ban by IP
And some other stuff too

There are a few things you need to do to get it running right so be sure to follow the following steps:

To use database functions you must have MySQL INCLUDED IN THE WINDOWS BIN DIRECTORY. This can be easily done with the MySQL configuration utility - if you do not do this, the backup and restore functions will not work!

This also requires .NET 3.5 which can be found on the Microsoft website!

The MaNGOS console must be running before starting the GUI. No console commands will work until MaNGOS is started.

TO USE THE RESTARTER YOU NEED TO FIRST DISABLE THE ERROR REPORTING WINDOW

1. Go to Start Menu > Control Panel
2. Click on System
3. Then Go to Advanced Tab
4. Click Error Reporting
5. Check the first box "Disable Error Reporting"
6. Uncheck the box below "But notify when critical errors occur"

To get it working in Vista you need to "Run as administrator" by right clicking on the executable and clicking that option.

That should be it to get it working fully but let me know if it isn't.
