Fly as high as you want! (Only druids)

I'm not sure if this is alrdy posted.

You need to be a druid for this, have flying form and X-52 Rocket Helmet.
Go to a lake, use your flying form, fly as high as possible, when there, disform and use your Helmet.
You should be above this invisible wall, then put your flying form bk on asap.
You will be able to fly as high as you want

I'm Hunter, I found a Druid to test this for me, so I couldn't check everything. I'll try that later (When he had to go he disformed, it took 53 seconds before he saw the ground :P)

Heres an idea: once past the invisible walls head for the BE starting area and show off. After all Outland is part of the same map as the new starting areas.

from the outland map, fly east and a little south, itll take u to the original map but its going to be a very long flight, even if it does work.

well why dose this need to be only druids. Couldnt any1 do this if they flew high, right clicked the mount buff and use the helm. I cant test it because i deleted the rocket helm. i know that flying form for druids is instant, but i remeber reading that you could stand on the wall so then you could cast your mount. If any1 could test this that would be cool.

I could get past the barrier too with my Rocket Helmet, but I can't get my Flying mount summoned in the air

Druids are able to switch to Flying Mount in the air. That's why only Druids can fly above the Barrier.

I forgot to say, when you are flying above the barrier, you will constantly hear a rumbling sound, the same as when you hit the barrier with your mount, so if you aren't sure you're able to fly higher. Dw, my m8 could

Btw I'm not sure if you reach BE / Draenei Lands with this, since outland is still surrounded by another barrier. My m8 flew south from Terokkar Forest, but even when he passed the first barrier - the one that stops every1 - he met another barrier, right after he disappeared from the map

So why didnt he use the rocket helm to get over that barrier.

I'm talking about the vertical wall, not the roof - where he got passed with his Helmet - the Rocket Helmet only goes straight up.

What I wanna say is that Outland is a huge cube. The druid, who I learned that trick, was flying above that cube.
He went south of Terokkar, but when he just disappeared from the map, a vertical wall stopped him. This means that the first cube is surrounded by another one. But I wouldn't know how high the other one is.
The constantly rumbling sound makes it impossible to know when you reached the roof of the second cube.

Well actually you can find out when you hit the 2nd cube, when/if you have the Netherdrake or the Pheonix (Just model change your flying mount to one) they both have contrail (Glowy lines coming off them i.e Thunderfury has a lightning contrail) and the contrail will stop when you hit the wall because when the contrail comes back to the Mounted player, you will be able to see it. Oh and for the rumbling sound, just Model change it out or Mute your Speakers/WoW

Confirmed the flying straight up from the middle of the black temple allows you to bypass all walls.

Last night I mounted up in the center of the main pyramid and flew up. I originally thought I had hit the cieling again, but then I looked around me and saw the rough outline of most of Outlands. The sky changed. I was very high up.

I then flew a little south and east on my epic mount for approximately 10 minutes. I then recieved the "zone change" message to Azuremyst Isle. I was immediately dismounted. I fell for a long time but then died with the "falling off outlands" graphic where your character zooms away from the camera.

When I released by body was teleported back to the edge of Shadowmoon but my corpse was in Azuremyst Isle. I had to arena queue to avoid spirit ressing.

I thought about just flying RIDICULOUSLY high up (like, point up, auto fly, go take a duece, make dinner, come back) and then flying east and taking 4-5 stacks of light feathers with me (I'm a mage) and then once I get dismounted, trying to slow-fall to land, or at least someplace on the map. The problem is that I'm pretty sure fatigue still affects you even if you're in the air.

I'll farm some light feathers soon and see what happens :P
