Mango's Level Cap Issue

Ok I recently installed Mangos. When I .levelup it can level the char all the way to 255. My problem with that is I find it pointless to have lvl 255 players with duels and battles that last forever with full talent trees. Just takes something away from the game IMO.

Now the question I have is how can I change it so you cant level past 70 PERIOD!
I looked in the mangosd.config and the MaxPlayerLevel is set to 70.

Any Ideas?

Well Gm's can level characters above the level cap on Ascent im not sure about mangos.. but are you talking about a GM being lvl 255. or have you made a player character and popped him to 70 and checked if he was getting exp?..

it might just be that since your a GM char you can .levelup past it but you cant really experience past it....

i think your right cuz charactor doesnt even get increased HP or Mana after 70....I think it is just a gm thing so normal player's can't kill you with gm function off.

The cap is only for normal leveling, not the command .levelup

It should be either
.mod level -x
.level -x

Not sure for Ascent. :)

im on a Mangos server...

.level only increases not decreases and .mod level isn't a vaild command on mangos

You sure? Are you using the command correctly?
.level -10
That SHOULD decrease your level by 10.
Note the - before the number.

i did try .level-(levels desired) but i guess i didnt think to space it.
