Kiting the easy way

Ok, so I've done this on my hunter and its tons of fun. In the southern end of Winterspring there are 59-60 elite demons and 60 elite giants. The demons drop the eye of shadow (for priest quest) which sells quite well. As a hunter (or any class I suppose) tag a mob and have your pet attack it, but don't have your pet take aggro (turn off taunt and use distracting shot). Kite the demon all the way back to Everlook....at which point the guards go nutty on it and kill it. You still get credit for the kill and get to loot, even though they did the work. This is not great for XP (ok it sucks), but its wonderful for killing them for drops. I've done it and had no luck in about an hour of kiting, and then again I've had great luck doing it. Mostly I do it to show how damn cool I am.

Lol, nice. This can be done with alot of mobs, but some WILL evade.

It will only evade if you don't keep it targeted.
