How to make a custom starting area

HI guys i have decided to get off my lazy ass and give something good to this site. i will show you how to make custom starting areas this is my first guide so if you view please post and if you like it please rep because hate being a leacher lol. onto the guide

you do not need any porgrams just WoW and a MySql database editor( i use navicat)

1.create any character and move them to the place where you want the starting area to be.(if you do not wish to create a Neutral start area then create 2 characters a horde and alliance.

    2. Go into your MySQL database editor and find the character table (/logon/Characters/)

    3. now that you are in the table find the character you moved to the starting area and find the character you were on.

    4. get their coordinates (X, Y, Z) and copy them.

Now comes the part where you decide if its a Neutral start area or a Horde or Alliance start area...(Neutral is quicker)

    Neutral Starting area
    1. Go to the Ascent database (or NCDB) and find the table called Playercreateinfo and open that

2.find the Postion X/Y/Z and paste in the Coords from your character for all of the rows.

    3. Restart Ascent create a new char and there is your starting area

you might want to spawn to creatures if it is a highrate or a blizzlike server or something

    Horde or alliance way

    1. Create a new game account and log in with it(the account is for wow).

2.Now create 5 different alliance race characters and 5 different Horde Chars.(for all the races)

    3. log off, open your MySQL editor and go to your Characters table (/Logon/Characters/)

    4. get the coordinates for the Horde or Ally chars-and at the same time get the ALLY Race IDs and the HORDE Race ID KEEP THEM SEPARATE!!-----(I recommend putting them into notepad put them into with the race names next to them)

    4.EDIT: Troll - 8

    Orc - 2

    Undead - 5

    Tauren - 6

    Human - 1

    Dwarf - 3

    Nightelf - 4

    Gnome - 7

    Draenei - 11

    5. now open the table Playercreateinfo (/Ascent/Playercreateinfo/

    6. Now come the really long and boring part part start with the First row of the table, look under the 'Race' column and check to see whether it is Ally or Horde.

    7. If it is alliance/Horde paste the Ally/Horde char Coordinates into the Postion X/Y/Z/ columns and move to the next row....

    8. Once all that is over restart ascent and create a new horde/ally character on WoW and log on oh and have fun to

ayay you are now in your new starting place

Recommended: if you want the starter spawn for alliance to be in SW put a 12 or 1 in the zone id column plus the X,Y,Z coords!

    Nice Guide!

Nice guide, although it could be a little more organized. I would suggest for you to add some places that are usable. +Rep
