Getting rid of people 'following' you

Well, I'm sure you've all experienced it, you've annyoed someone for some reason and out of spite they've started following you and gone AFK. So, what to do? This tips post is a list of funny things to do to them

    1) Find a tall area, for this example Temple of the Moon upper balcony in Darnassus (not tall but easy to use) basically, you lead your follower up stairs, and start walking around the very edge. You then find where the edge turns, and walk round the corner and keep going. The follower will try to catch up and take a nasty drop. Ow.

    2) If your victim is a lower level than you, simply lead them into somewhere full of monsters that will easily kill them, and let them get aggro and die.

I'll add more later, thanks for reading.

    3) Thanks to Fishy80 for this one:
As a warlock simply swim underwater and put on unending breath. They will die whereas you won't. Also, i'm not sure if this will work but if you just swim underwater, then swim straight back up to the surface, they might stay underwater and drow, therefore meaning this is available for all classes. Please tell me if this works or doesn't.

one thing you can do ( ithink)
i when they are following you all you have to do is find a place that you can get ontop of by jumping and can't get on by walking and you jump over it, so they get stuck, and you are free to do whatever.

You could use your Hstone but only teleport if they really anoy you, or if you got a lot of time and dont care about wasting your Hstone(if you use it 1.he might also use it and find out if you have the same home inn or 2.just stop anoying you and leave you alone) most likely choice #2

yes you could do that Demonslayer, but the whole point of this thread is to get revenge on them, not just stop them following you

Re: Getting rid of people 'following' you

If you have a higher level following you swim as far out where the fatigue gets you :P

I'de assume if you swim far enough, they'll HAVE to rez at the gy, and ruin some of their armor :P

Don't think this is very practicle though, seeing as fatigue fades same rate, but you run faster (and on top of water) in ghost form :P

Re: Getting rid of people 'following' you

    Stealth if you're a rogue

Also, one that I just thought of: Ever notice how when you lag a lot anyone/anything following you goes ahead of you? Easiest to do this with a minipet.

    Anyway, make a macro:

    /sit
    /stand
    /sit
    /stand

And do that until the macro is up to 252/255.

Now start running forward, then spam this macro (click 2-3 times a second). Once you are lagging to the point where you don't see yourself moving, stop pressing forward while still spamming the macro. Keep doing this for as long as you want to be 'running' forward. When you stop spamming the macro, you will still be in your original position, but to everyone else it will look like you have been running forward, then suddenly teleporting back to where you started.

So, point at a nice group of mobs that will rip the crap out of the follower, and follow the above instructions! If you do it right, they will run right into the mobs... and die.

If you are a mage with ice block, a rogue with vanish, a hunter with feign death, or a pally with BUBBLEZ, run into a bunch of mobs and use that skill. All your aggro will be dumped onto the newbie, who will then die. Then you make your getaway.

If you happen to be in Felwood/Winterspring and have timbermaw rep... try running into the furbolg tunnels!
