[Guide] How to make a Ascent 2.4.x Server Whit Pics.

HELLO !

Today i going to Show u how to make a Ascent 2.4.X Server ! LET*S START!!!

What u need !
1. Get a repack, maybe Chrispee's Repack.

Navicat
Well this is Easy To Install so no pics ( Don't wanna Destroy my own server )

Now open navicat.
And Do this:

And Now go to you'r Repack:

Now you'r nearly done ( Just the 3 Conf Files in the repack Left )...
BUT.. Let's Start... ( I hate this Set ) XD
GO into you'r Repack and Open
Ascent-World.Conf and you will see this

<WorldDatabase Hostname = "localhost" Username = "MSQL USERNAME" Password = "MYSQL PASS" Name = "DATABAS NAME" Port = "3306" Type = "1">
<CharacterDatabase Hostname = "localhost" Username = "MYSQL USERNAME" Password = "MYSQL PASS" Name = "DATABAS NAME" Port = "3306" Type = "1">

CHANGE THE RED !!

in the Conf FIle and Save then Close..
NOW Open Ascent-Logonserver.conf and u will see this

<LogonDatabase Hostname = "localhost"
Username = "MSQL USERNAME"
Password = "MYSQL PASSWORD"
Name = "DATABAS NAME"
Port = "3306"
Type = "1">

Scroll down and change this

<LogonServer RemotePassword = "DATABAS NAME"
AllowedIPs = "Hamachi IP/24"
AllowedModIPs = "Hamachi IP/24">

And change the Red Text again..
Then Save and don't close.. Scroll down a bit.. and u will see this
<Client MinBuild = "8125"
MaxBuild = "8125">

CHANGE to
<Client MinBuild = "8125"
MaxBuild = "9999">

Save and Close..

Now Open Ascent-Realm and u will see this
<LogonServer Address = "127.0.0.1"
Port = "8093"
Name = "DATABAS NAME"
RealmCount = "1">

Change the red text and save and Scroll down a bit and u will see this now
<Realm1 Name = "CHANGE TO THE NAME U WANT FOR SERVER"
Address = "127.0.0.1:8129"
Icon = "PVP"
Colour = "1"
Population = "1.0"
TimeZone = "1">

SAVE and Close !

NOW we are done !!!

BUT wait u need to change Realmlist..
Go to wow Folder and Open Realmlist and set it to:
Set Realmlist 127.0.0.1
Set Patchlist 127.0.0.1

Save and Close.. Now u will need an Account..
Go Navicat like this:

Now Close all !!! and Open Repack and Dubble - Click those: Ascent-World.exe and Ascent-logonserver.exe and wait a sec and it's done ! now u can login

Btw !!!! if u can't open them Download
Download details: .NET Framework 3.5

it makes u open the .exe files

AND i got something for ppl who are New to EMU servers

it's a Tool that i made well whit some help from a Friend

in the Tool u can see GM Commands, DisplayID and ALOT of more stuff !

This is what i get when i start ascent - world

Answer is: U know u maded new Databas in the New Connection u made

that Databas name like Ascent or World :P

well beacuse u got Offline :P Open Ascent-logonserver.conf and Scroll down till u see this:

I still keep getting the same problem

. Im not an expert but i think i no where it is tring to connect to. in ascent realms config at LogonAddress it has this <LogonServer Address = "***.*.*.*"

The stars arnt there i just dont know what goes there

The number you want to put in (for now at least) is 127.0.0.1

With a glance at your first post, the Address you used first was different ( 15:03 N LogonCommClient: Connecting to logonserver on `5.75.82.33:8093`... ) from what the guide was suggesting. While the IP presented in the guide is standard for offline accessibility on the computer its installed on, its also the first step in setting up the server. For now try changing the Address (as well as the client's Realmlist/Patchlist) to 127.0.0.1 and see if it works.

The port used (8093) might also be incorrect, but would only need to be changed to 8129

Also, it is importiant to remember, if there are four seperate locations asking for an IP address, each one needs to be the same... save for any port number attached to the end. So they either look like: IP# or IP#: port# in each case the IP needs to match all other IPs used.

ok it still isnt work but i just wanna say i <3 u for putting it so detailed. i keep getting the same thing everytime iv started over iv gone thru it everything could you or someone eles please walk me thru this is you have an AIM then msg me ( billcopperfiled4 ) or just PM me or somthing
