[Guide] Change your shield to a weapon

So im gongi to type bad here so bear with me :P. in here i will teach you how to use Hex Editor to change any shield to a weapon.or atleast the shield i tried.

Befor change




Step one is to open Hex Editor and find the weapon you want shield to be changed to any one will do.



Copy evryy thing after the weapon name ends ( all the under line is what you need to copy) Stop when you hit the FF FFFF FF :P



This pic shows what to exsacly copy



Next search for your shield



high light and past! what you copyed from your weapon.

This pic will show you whatyou have to change if u want a diffrent seth spot for your weapon

Since it a shield you have to change the 04 to a diffrent number-
01 - 2H melee weapons (axes, swords, polearms)
02 - Staves
03 - 1H side-hanging weapons
04 - Shields
05 - Guns- It comes out from the back hidden
06 - I am thinking this one is bows or crossbows, it's kind of liek 05.
07 - Hidden (fist weapons)
00- off hand caster weapons..


MOST of the time it will be codded 01 0000 0X x is where you change the number to another do get desired result. to make it hang on your side make it 01



Save it and now your shield should look like the weapon you picked





At this points you are done but if you want to change it to make it a diffrent weapon just regualr Hex edit to get disred result.



You can change main ahnd weapon and then Shield to be another weapon if you want two types of weapons..Note your shidl cant be enchanted with a weapon chant to match :P

I tried the same method for weapon->shield.

The private server I play on (which items i used, and where i do the testing) is now offline, but I'll report back if it works for the other way around too

[Edit] It needed some messing around for a while, and the result wasn't perfect (bugged stats ftw) but still, same principal idea. +ape

...Or just use Glitchys WDB editor? =p

The WDB editor messes up, you need to paste stuff ontop of other stuff. Glitchys turns the shield into a cube with blue squares :S
