    What is a proxy?

    I have heard in many different scam posts about using a "proxy". What is a proxy? I realize this may be a dumb noobish question, but I don't know, so I figured I'd ask :P.

    A proxy Is a Program which takes you current ip-address hides it and gives you a new one they are usefull for getting on sites that you are banned from or sites that are blocked at your school like mmowned

    So where can I find a proxy to use? Also isn't there some addon for firefox I could use?

    A Proxy makes the internet think you're under another IP there's no way to keep your real IP adress 100% hided tho but proxy almost does it!
