Here's a little guide to help you easily and successfully claim a scammed account as your own. I see this a lot from beginner scammers: "I scammed an account! How can I change the info on the account to what I want?"
Here are the minimum pieces of information needed:
- First & last name on account
- Account log-in name
- SQ/A
- Phone number on account (not necessary, but helps a lot)
1). Now, when you call Blizz, they always ask for your name. Tell them the name that's on the account or else you will not be able to get the account info changed. Example: If the name on the account it Joe Smith, tell the Blizzard representative your name is Joe Smith.
2). Next, your phone number will be asked for. If you have the phone number that's on the account, tell the representative the number. However, if you don't have the number on the account, that's ok. Just make sure when you do give them a phone number that it's not one that's on another account.
3). All you will need to do is tell the representative you no longer have access to the email that is on the account and you need it changed. Give them the information they ask for (They usually ask for the name on the account, or the account log-in name first. SQ/A is last). After your got the email changed, you can safely change the password to whatever you wish
4). The account is now yours to do whatever you want with, grats!
Note: It is not required you have the cd key(s) to get account info changed. If you have them, great; if not, no biggie.
Here the number needed to call for those of you who can't find it (added due to request) 1-800-592-5499
