Creating a sandbox

I was wondering if anyone could help me at all with how I would go about creating a sandbox? The two I know of (WoWCore and TOM_RUS) unfortunately haven't been updated for the last two patches or so. Any help would be appreciated.

What you need to do, is get your hands on some planks of wood, bags of sand, a hammer and some nails.

After about 4 hours of work VOILA! You have your very own sandbox that you have full GM powers in, you have the
banhammer to ban any unwanted visitors to your sandbox. :]

Either take a good working project and write your name on top of it (preferred way), take a good working project, look how they do it and try to learn how you can do it or just take your favorite editor/compiler/interpreter and IDA/OllyDbg and have some fun.
