Can't seem to attack gyms

Hey, so I'm relatively new to this game.
I downloaded the locationfaker tweak for cydia, and I traveled to a Gym approximately 350M away from me where there is a gym owned by a opposite faction.
I click on it, I see all 3 tiers of pokemons, where of I know I can easily beat them. I click on attack on any of them, I see their pokemon spawn and it warps me out, I loose no health and nothing happens. All my pokemons are also @ full health.

You're most likely soft banned.

That's odd though, I can still capture pokemons.

what level are you? you can only start battling at level 5.

I'm way above level 5, All my pokemons are 2000 cp+. Yet I can't attack it.
I can find pokemons and I believe you can't do that while softbanned, so this is odd.
I've had issues before though

Had the same problem yesterday on account that have been botting for several hours before. Is it some new kind of soft ban?
