Your reasoning is short-sighted. Many free programs offer paid features, like this one. Not all free software is malicious—verify the app/source and reviews before jumping to conclusions.

Lazy post. There are plenty of tools out there to see how said program are interacting with a system and where data is flowing. I bet my bottom dollar you can figure it out.
