scam report for: ohrwurm / sally

This guy added me on skype and asked me if i had gold on wow.

I didn't trust him and asked him to post on forums before we go trade.

Then he said he could send an email from his mail account appears in his signature and threads / screenshot provided.

He has different skype adrees but he sent me mail from his email then obviously i trusted him.

After we completed trade he said he was an "impersonator" and didn't pay anything.

This guy either actual ohrwurm and pretends to have different skype name by changinging his signature and thread mail or someone else got his email information. In both case his account should be banned from this forum.

Could you please link the scam thread? Because he does not list that e-mail or Skype anywhere in his threads.

He also clearly states in his thread that he does NOT add anyone to Skype. Anyone adding you will be an imposter. He also mentions the Skype ID of the imposter.

He deleted 100+ page thread aswell. You can see deleted threads i hope.

I submit a screenshot of his profile when he makes trade.

This guy has his account information. Prolly one of his "coworkers" cos he wasn't active for a long time now he tries to scam ppl by gaining trust with an old reputation.

Deleting his thread and chaging his signature at the same day of i sent this scam report is not a coincidence... This guy is not that smart.

I did speak to ohrwurm about it and he did mention that he has been receiving several complaints about people being scammed by an imposter.

As i said i sent you a screenshot of his actual profile. He pretends to be an imposter himself by using different skype. I've proven it in my first post i have a mail from his signature mail. I can forward it to you if you want. What else he could say to you.

He changed his contact information including email adress where he uses to scam ppl.

See any original version of any post under his thread to see this email adrees to scam me. You can see it in my first post.

He posted WARNINGS 3 weeks ago and edited them 2 days ago? Why?

He's not trying to fool anyone, we are able to see all the post edits. Really what it comes down to is whether he removed the e-mail from his profile before or after you were scammed; that's when we'll determine whether he needs to refund you or not.

Being warned on this thread and still not fixing his contact information is really suspicous.

If he followed your warnings and removed this e-mail from all of his posts and signature i wouldn't have been scammed. Because this scam i've been through is after your warning given to him. I seriously think the imposter and the real guy is the same because he keeps doing his thing.

In other point of view if he wasn't being lazy and "lose" his mail adress and not fixing his contact info is his fault and he should refund my loss because he wasn't caring about his customers safety after he lose this mail's password etc. Even after getting warned.

PS. after i realise i was being scammed he kept saying "sally is innocent" "i'm not sally" etc. in skype.

I was able to send myself a similar e-mail through an online service: https://i.imgur.com/oAhy2kY.png

As you can see, the e-mail is shown as spam which happened in your case as well. This should have raised a red flag as "legit" messages are almost never flagged as spam.

It is clear at this point that that e-mail was not sent from ohrwurm's e-mail address because as i said, it has been locked / suspended for the past year. (Impossible to log on an e-mail address that is suspended or locked).

Other staff members have mentioned this could me a spoofed e-mail also.

That being said, ohrwurm can't be liable for your losses.

I believe that if you added his Skype by clicking the button in his thread then none of this would have happened. Also, if for any reason you wanted to verify he was the real ohrwurm, you should have asked for a verification through a private message on OwnedCore.

The only thing I can say is that you should be very cautious next time and make sure you are trading with the real person.
