Deathwing was originally slated to have risen from the Deathwing Scar, a region north of Stormwind, upon his destructive re-entry into the world. It was speculated that his explosive eruption from the earth incinerated the Park of Stormwind, and the surrounding area.
Blizzard recently released an update stating the Deathwing will instead rise from the Maelstrom, causing a cataclysmic explosion on Azeroth not unlike the explosion that shook the world in the original Sundering.
If Deathwing is no longer rising from Deephoml in the Deathwing Scar, how will the Park be decimated? Perhaps Deathwing take a tour de destruction throughout the city, and decides that the Park, being pretty and Night-elfy, is itching for a beating in the form of a blastwave of explosive fire breath.
Since Blizzard announced the removal of guild talent trees, the idea of PvP exclusive guilds has been completely scrapped. While I understand that they were trying to make the game more streamline, I really would have liked to see some PvP-exclusive guilds around, as they haven't gotten enough love, in terms of content and perks. Nevertheless, Tol Barad and the two new announced battlegrounds look like they will offer some interesting challenges. Rated BGs should nevertheless still warrant some PvP guilds forming, in order to have the benefit of a shared guild bank and the guild leveling system. With the Cataclysm closed beta beginning "very really soon", we'll definately be hearing more information about the future of PvP and PvP-centric guilds in the coming weeks.
