OwnedCore Report #125 - No Pre-Patch still >Sponsored by RPGStash

The pre-patch that was originally advertised as being the longest in WoW history is now shaping up to be the shortest in WoW history. If this isn't the most Blizzard thing ever than IDK what is. To put into perspective how off things are right now the arena players are usually told 10-14 days prior to the season ending that it will be ending. As of right now Blizzard has not said when the season is ending. So the options are either they are going to end it on super short notice or the pre-patch is not coming until mid October meaning it will only be 1-2 weeks long. Either way this is a mess but nonetheless there is still some stuff we can cover down below!

    Elixr Graphics

Art for your business can be the make or break point if somebody even gives you the time of day. Whether it is banners, avatars, or just looking professional people tend to home in on threads that look like they put the time in. Finding the right artist can be difficult especially for a place like OwnedCore since the marketplace here is such a niche area of the internet. You need somebody who understands your market as much as you do and how to portray what your selling in the best way possible. Elixir Graphics has been that artist for over a dozen companies here on OwnedCore and we have even used him for stuff on OwnedCore itself. With Elixr you're getting 10 years experience in the business but also somebody who has experience working with some of the largest companies who advertise here on OwnedCore. Both graphics above and the one below have all been made by Elixr. If you want to check out more if his work or how to contact him check out his thread here on (🏅 STAFF VOUCHED 🏅🍀 Animated Graphics Store 🍀⏳ Delivery In 2 Hours ⏳)OwnedCore

    WoW Stuff

First and foremost. Make sure you level a Death Knight through its starting zone and a Demon Hunter before the pre-patch. Once the pre-patch hits the level scaling will commence and you will be way further ahead in the scaling if you get a DH and DK through their starting zone prior to the scaling than after. So even if you don't have the itch to play either right now do your future self a favor who might be interested and level those classes through their starter zones.

Some other more obvious things to do before it hits is

    • Clear your bags

    • Bring as many non cooldown sharing Hearthstone's as possible (toys, etc)

    • Stock up on Gliders

    • Buy a bunch of Gunshoes if the price isn't too high yet

    Dreamhaven

The man who got us all addicted to video games by creating Blizzard back in 1991 is now on a new venture with his wife Amy called Dreamhaven. Mike Morhaime is back in the gaming business and alongside him are some Blizzard alumni you might recognize. Jason Chayes, Dustin Browder, Ben Thompson, Chris Sigaty, Alan Dabiri, and Eric Dodds. He will now serve as CEO of Dreamhaven, bringing decades of experience along with him and his studio teams, headed by Jason Chayes and Chris Sigaty at Moonshot and Secret Door respectively.

Dreamhaven will create and publish original games for players around the world, and it has established its first two studios: Moonshot and Secret Door.

“I’m excited to team up with such talented people who care deeply about games and their communities,” said Dreamhaven CEO Mike Morhaime. “I’ve always believed in the power of games to bring people together regardless of backgrounds or boundaries. With Dreamhaven, we look forward to creating and sharing new experiences with players everywhere.”

The team at Dreamhaven came together around a common goal to empower creators, help bring their ideas to life, and create original gaming experiences that foster meaningful connections between players.
Now the question on everybodies mind is what kind of games will Dreamhaven make/publish. What we do know is Moonshot will be focused on large projects while Secret Door will be focused on smaller ones. The elephant in the room is will Mike dabble into the MMORPG scene again and directly compete with his former company and World of Warcraft? A lot of old school MMORPG fans who are dissatisfied with current WoW and even other current Blizzard IP's such as Diablo are probably doing their daily morning prayers for such an outcome. As of now though only time will tell.
