The team behind Eldorado started trading almost 10 years ago. Since then we have bought and sold billions in in-game gold and millions of items in RuneScape, Path of Exile, World of Warcraft, Rocket League, CS:GO, and more. As buyers, sellers and gamers, we have seen it all, from honest-to-goodness dealers to scam victims with zero customer support. Harnessing years of experience and love for the market, and with a strong belief that together we can revolutionise in-game trading, we set out to build what Eldorado is today — a secure, easy-to-use marketplace with sterling support that empowers both sides of the trading community.

    Ninja vs Twitch

So this is definitely the bigger story of the week. Last week we covered Ninja's announcement to leave the biggest streaming platform, Twitch, to exclusively stream on Microsoft's Mixer. This went completely viral and we discussed how the war on streaming is probably well underway. But Twitch was not done with Ninja. When Ninja left for Mixer not only did Twitch instantly remove his partnership, which came off as petty to most, but they eventually turned his offline stream into a promotional page for other streamers. Since Ninja is so big his channel was still bringing in a ton of clicks whether it be fans who didn't know he left or people just curious as to what it looked like. So due to this Twitch decided to do this:

Now this has never been done with any other streamer who was "offline". It was clearly something they did because Ninja's specific Twitch page was still bringing in tons of eyes even after he left their platform. Now some people might say this isn't a big deal and is actually smart of Twitch and others might see it as scummy. That debate is still going on. But the issue is what happened next. Yesterday for many hours straight a channel streamed pornography under the Fortnite section and rose to the #1 streamer in that section for obvious reasons. Guess what channels were automatically promoted on Ninja's page? Fortnite streams. And since this pornography stream was under Fortnite whenever you went to Ninja's Twitch the first stream on the list was a thumbnail of ****** Now there is a lot wrong with this. It was already a weird move to some by Twitch to turn Ninja's channel into a promotional page but how does a stream get away with streaming pornography for that long on the websites #1 game section? Due to this Ninja was upset and rightfully so and he released this video on Twitter that went viral.

    Twitter

After this video #TwitchOverParty went #1 trending worldwide on Twitter. Now this was kind of the straw on the camels back with Twitch and backlash lately. If you follow the website's news at all you know that their sentencing and punishments seem to be super random when it comes to breaking the Terms of Service. Due to this Twitch has been under fire for many months and this Ninja stuff was kind of the breaking point. Now Ninja has a right to be pissed here because at this point hes a full on main stream brand whether we like it or not. If a child tunes into his Twitch stream not knowing he went to Mixer and there is porn there and his parents see it that is damaging to his brand. And that probably did happen...thousands of times in the hours upon hours the pornography stream was up and promoted on Ninja's page.

Since the drama the CEO of Twitch has responded on Twitter to all the backlash.

I don't know how much I believe they were using this as a real test when it was only Ninja's channel they were doing it on but as of now, since the backlash, the channel has been reverted to a simple offline stream like everybody else. Some ideas like creating a pool of friends that can be put up as promotional streams on your offline channel have been recommended to the CEO in the replies. In the end this has bit Twitch in the rear end because not only is Ninja's page reverted but the title of his stream is now Mixer.com/Ninja which everybody who checks his Twitch can now see. Should be interesting to see what the future holds for not only Ninja vs Twitch but streaming across the board.

    Loot Boxes

The ESA is now making Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft disclose the odds on their loot box system. This means that if you open a cosmetic loot case and their is an article of clothing you want from that loot crate you will see the odds of you obtaining that hat upon opening the crate before you actually open it. When will this begin? 2020 and won't be necessarily added to old games but rather only games released after the policy is implemented. Activision Blizzard, Bungie, EA, and more are all agreeing to this policy as well. Color me surprised when I read that EA and others would be doing this on their own before legislation is actually passed.

Some notable ESA member publishers who haven't made such a commitment include 505 Games, Capcom, CI Games, Deep Silver, Disney Interactive Studios, Epic Games, Focus Home Interactive, Gearbox Publishing, GungHo, Intellivision Entertainment, Kalypso, Konami, Magic Leap, NCsoft, Natsume, Nexon, Rebellion, Riot Games, Sega, Square Enix, THQ Nordic, Tencent, and Marvelous.

Honestly this is great news overall and at least the ball is rolling. I know in the EU or at least some countries in the EU like the Netherlands they have become much more strict with loot boxes and their connection to gambling. So to hear that the US is doing their part is good to hear. Loot boxes are probably not going away any time soon but luckily it seems like battle passes have become the new wave which I am a fan of.

    WoW Classic

The WoW Classic servers have been announced for the US and we made a thread for them right here on OC. Now one hot topic since the servers have been announced has been streamer servers and for good reason. As many of you know there are a lot of big streamers planning on playing Classic and with big streamers comes hordes of fans. A lot of people want to avoid the 40 man armies in every zone the streamer touches and therefore want to avoid the server a lot of these streamers choose. If you go to www.avoidstreamers.com they are keeping track of where each streamer is saying they will play. The good news is a lot of them are playing on the same server and in the same guild. Streamers like Esfand, Sodapoppin, Asmongold, Shroud, and others I think are all planning on being on the same server just different factions.

Also today at 3:00 PM PST with an active WoW Subcription you can reserve up to 3 names across all of Classic by making a character. If you have a special name in mind that you want to grab before the masses do I recommend subbing right now and hopping at that time. Speaking of reserving names if you want to do your first ever Classic WoW exploit look into this thread by Smitten about how to get mature names in WoW. This might be doable today with the name reservations therefore making you the first Classic WoW exploiter!

    Good luck!
