I was hoping for the last installment of Warbringer to come out today before this report but as some people told me in OC chat it is probably not coming out until around 8.1. So welcome our 34th OwnedCore Report. We still have a good chunk of stuff available to talk about including community highlights, BFA coming out literally tomorrow, and some cool news such as the Red Dead 2's Gameplay trailer that has everybody talking.

Community Highlights

First and foremost we got a thread by Kurios where he is asking the community for input on what the next OwnedCore contest be along with the prize. Not very often does a community get to decide both the contest AND the prize so you should definitely head over to this thread and give us your input.

Community Highlights

Battle for Lordaeron
If you haven't done any of the pre-patch and care about WoW Lore than turn back now because this definitely has some spoilers. In the most recent rendition of the WoW pre-patch we got a Horde and Alliance cinematic of the battle for Lordaeron. Both are very similar and show some very interesting stuff. For starters Jaina shows up to save the day in that ship she raised from the sea in the Warbringer and not only gets rid of the gas killing everybody with some gigantic frost nova but continues to shoot arcane cannon balls out of the ship. Mage op. After that we see Anduin and other Alliance leaders walk into the throne room to confront Sylvanas. The cool thing about this is the way Anduin walks to the throne room is EXACTLY the same way Arthas did when "succeeding his father". A cool similarity video about this can be seen HERE. This has been raising a ton of theories that Anduin is Arthas' and Jaina's son. Could it be or could it just be a nice homage Blizzard paid to their old cinematic? Time will tell. As for what happens between him and Sylvanas at the end of the cinematic, I guess you'll have to watch and see for yourself.

Red Dead Redmption 2 Gameplay Video

3 days ago Rockstar put out this video as their Official Gameplay Video for Red Dead Redemption 2. This 6 minute masterpiece goes into detail about the cool things you can do in the game such as piling a ton of your stuff on a horse to relaxing activities like fishing. Not only did they show us some of the cool things you can do but they gave us a little bit of detail on the character you play, the people he hangs out with, and what he is all about. Turns out you're in a gang that is constantly running from the pressures of civilized life. You can talk yourself in and out of trouble, gamble, trade goods such as pelts, and so much more. At the end the narrator says there will be another gameplay video coming out in the future where they discuss missions, activities, enemy gangs, robberies, and the deadeye system.

Fallout 76 Info from Quakecon

So for starters when the game comes out it will not be available on Steam but instead on the Bethesda Launcher. To me this is a massive blow and I guess not that big of a surprise since a ton of the big companies have been coming out with their own launchers and putting their games on it over Steam. As far as PVP the topic of killing other players too much came up. They decided to fix this by making it so if you kill other humans it will put a bounty on your head and the person who died can come back and kill them for double the payment. Beyond this they talked about how there will be a ton of character customization and mods will be supported.
