OwnedCore Report #26
E3 and the World Cup. It's a great week for both games and sports. This is our 26th report, a place where we cover all things OwnedCore and talk about gaming news from around the globe. Last week we touched on Diablo 4 job openings, Fallout 76, and more. This week we will be covering some of the most hype stuff from E3 and talking about WoW Classic!
Gaming News From Around The Globe
E3 2018
So much was announced at E3 this year and a lot of it included major titles from all the biggest companies such as Sony, Microsoft, Bethesda, and Nintendo. In this edition of Gaming News From Around the Globe I will cover a lot of what was announced but mostly by the major companies. Below will be a breakdown of the biggest news from the four major companies, Bethesda, Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft. There was stuff announced outside of these 4 big names but for the sake of keeping this Report not a novel I will be leaving the "smaller" announcements out. And I definitely say "smaller" loosely because I am sure some people might think what I don't include might be their biggest highlight of E3.
Bethesda

WoW Classic will be on 1.12
Outside of E3 this was one of the biggest pieces of news we got out of our beloved Blizzard this week. Blizzard announced that WoW Classic will be set in patch 1.12 "Drums of War". This was chosen "because it represents the most complete version of the classic experience." 1.12 was the final patch in Vanilla which means it will include every raid up until BC right off the bat. Now the fact that they are setting it so late could also signify that they will eventually grow the Classic version into a BC server. I only say this because of the success that Everquest had with this system and their legacy servers. Outside of that, its all speculation. We will find out more at Blizzcon for sure.

I'm not so sure about that.
It could simply mean they set it at 1.12 because It was the most complete 'classic' experience in terms of UI, mechanics, class changes etc.
Anyhoo... I'm totes excited for Classic. It looks like It will be at least another year away.

Yea, realistically you're probably right. I just like speculating and coming up with theories beyond the simple answer I guess. But 1.12 being the complete classic experience is more than likely the reason 1.12 was chosen. Also Totes for Classic over here
