To be honest, I don't think it would work. Skyrim has it right now as their 3rd person view for rpgs.. D3 wouldn't look half as good on console from a far away view, not to mention it would be a lot harder to play well.

view distance/camera positioning? really? zoom in. change of viewmode in options. not hard to change for a console.

how so? left stick movement in a direction. right stick panning.
interaction with objects? proximity and a button press.
picking up things? autolooting easy peasy.
skills/buttonmashers? oh right only a limited set of spells to use on the bar.
but there is 4 buttons (oh snap.. 4 buttons on the right side.)
attack and swap buttons (oh snap.. the triggers)
tp, hp/mana. select + bumpers

....missing anything from the ui image i'm looking at?
anything else like a map n such left stick in, pause, right stick in, dpad. are the ones that are left.

Console version been confirmed by Blizzard now on Bashiok's Twitter.
I'm just wondering how it would fit for the consoles... Diablo is originally made for PC and it should stay on PC.

Like taking Skyrim, it's great game (FOR PC!) but once you play it or that kind of game in console, it feels so clumsy...

Don't worry, they won't be cross platform. Sony and Microsoft don't want that.

Blizzard has said they are interested in bringing it to consoles, but they set the bar very high in order for them to do it, many believe too high that it will never happen.

They said at Blizzcon that they would only bring their games to the consoles if they can do two things

1.) The console version would not have ANY impact on the PC experience what-so-ever
2.) The console version would have to be at least as good if not better than the PC experience

IMO I think that D3 would be fine to port to console, as it is its essentially a 1 button control scheme...not saying that's bad, but not sure what the hold up would be.

They also said that Pandarens were a freaking joke, and that they would "never ever be implimented as a playable race"

I played beta i don't think it will work out to well for consoles and i don't see blizzard doing it either.


Edit: But then again Blizzard has ben known to @#@# their games up lol..... sc2 was a joke :confused:
