CoreCoin Poker Idea

Devs,

Note: I did some research and I found very little discussion about said topic in Public>Contributor Forums (forums I have access too). However, I have come across the discussion several times in some threads such as Sephirofl post: Feedback Wanted on Trade Section & Corecoins . I wanted to make a thread to openly discuss this idea to generate some feedback for the Devs and the community. I will also only be discussing and using the example: 'Poker' in this thread. Any other suggestions are welcome but I want to keep it focalized on one subject: 'Poker'.


Idea: Ownedcore CoreCoin Poker

Think about it. Ownedcore + CoreCoins + Gambling.. I don't think there is anything better.. thnk of the addiction it could create... think of the revenue... it would be beautiful. It would create more involvement within the community and possibly interest forum lurkers to create an account. The CoreCoin Poker itself would be very generic, you could obviously add some Ownedcore "flare" to make it appealing but I would keep it simple to start and evolve it over time.


How it could/would work:

Tables:
The poker tables would have different buy-ins and stakes with set requirements. Depending on the amount of CoreCoins you have it would allow you to join specific tables. These tables could be ranked such as "Elite Only" which would allow only Elite players to participate. This could generate some needed rivalry and not to mention bragging rights.

Tournaments:
There could be weekly, monthly and "High Rollers" tournaments with CoreCoin as the prizes. This could involve the current CoreCoin Raffle or be a separate entity.

Layout:
Ownedcore Application or Web Based

Requirement:
Donator Status or Higher+
CoreCoin User
Ownedcore Account (Registered)

Prizes:
You could incorporate future store prizes and ideas based around tournament winnings.

Achievements:
Achievements could be easily integrated with the already existing Ownedcore Achievements. This would allow for more involvement with the rest of the site and possible unlock addition forums and user groups: Example: High Rollers Forums

Ranks/Titles:
Titles could potentially be unlocked and "New" ranks generated related to OwnedCore Poker which would allow people to off their skill or lack of.


Conclusion:
All these ideas listed are from 15 minutes of brain storming.. I will evolve this thread over time with the communities ideas and input.

Glad to see some follow up

I of course am all for this Idea! I believe sgurb mentioned that the development of corecoin games was also something they were planning on doing, but I definitely love the though of putting more effort into the post, and ideas to help improve on it.

I think since Corecoins are real money exchangeable, if the webs server is in the USA, it will be shutdown in a week.

Yeah, they have US Sever (FL).. would be cool though, not like we can "cash" in our corecoins lol - just "Donate" to get coins

...why?! Ownedcore does not need a poker game feauture, I'd rather see something exploit related, maybe corecoin rewards for releasing stuff
