Add a "Visual Bugs" Sub-Forum...

"Visual bugs", or tricks that are purely visual (no advantage), are posted quite often on OwnedCore.

Typically they get posted in Exploits... and then half the thread ends up (rightfully) as people complaining that they are "useless", and they flash the [NO USELESS] rule...

Clearly these sorts of bugs are very popular with the OwnedCore audience. Clearly people think of them as "Exploits"... but OwnedCore's main exploit section is reserved for things that give you an advantage...

Therefore, I suggest making a sub-forum to Exploits called Visual Bugs.

Your initial reaction may be "More sub-forums? That's messy!"... but I mean... just imagine how the Exploit section would have looked during the "Potion of Illusion / Sandstrone Drake" craze...for just one example...

PS - This thread made me think of finally suggesting it: http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/worl...oit-mount.html (Hollow's end. Wands exploit on mount.)

    Add a "Visual Bugs" Sub-Forum...

    Sounds good
Since the exploits section has only 1 subforum compared to the 6 subforums in the Emulator section I don't think it's going to be messy
But visual bugs don't include every useless exploit people might find interesting so you might want to try and find another name for it. "Useless Exploits" would probably result in too much spam

/signed. Maybe have a Visual Bugs sub-forum and then a Useless Exploits/Glitches sub-forum and the best ones will just have more views and comments and therefore stay on top.

Agreed, a Visual bugs section would be a boon...

A Lot of people like looking like there unique or special by doing things others don't know how to do.

this forum would reduce clutter and reports of "useless" threads in exploits, by providing a place for these exploits which are not useless at all to those who enjoy them.

perhaps change or clarify the "no useless" rule, as its quite subjective. i find PvP exploits useless, because i don't PvP. but PvPers might find raid exploits useless, because they don't raid.

(don't post things I post to Patreon.)

I would rather see a tag like [VISUAL] or something.

That would be okay... if the rules were changed, and everyone was in on the change...

...but if you tried that now, you'd still get screams of [NO USELESS] in every thread, even if it was tagged [VISUAL].

Speaking only for myself, I'd also rather see a tag and I feel that if we add [Visual] in the rules as non-useless (Although they are of course), you wouldn't get the [NO USELESS] things

Ok, well you are the moderator... if you want to add the [VISUAL] tag option to the Exploit section rules... we'll try out using the tag. Sounds like a resolution to me! Please make it so.
