Instead of building 5 rep to make post's on certain sub forums maybe make a email activation or something like that

but if five posts is needed first then the user learns more about the forum and what is acceptable and what's not. By requiring five posts first, it increases the quality of the thread, limits number of infractions, and helps keep mmowned a better place.

However that is just my opinion.

Scenario 2:

User spams 5 times to get his thread up.
User gets his thread deleted and gets infractions for Question / Request in the wrong forum.
User gets his post count reset and all his posts deleted for spamming to 5 and gets a warning.
User then reads the rules and becomes a great member.


Either way, it's a bit more work for us, but when this happens, if it's someone that's going to stick around, they'll read the rules or PM me angrily about how unfair I am.


This has already been discussed and we have no plans about changing this at this point in time. It makes it much harder for people to spam us, and much easier for us to clean it up or see it coming.
