New Rank symbols and contributor/elite

ok. This might be very confusing and I apologise if it is, and i also have no idea if it is possible.

In short: make it so that only the commisioned ranks (Knight and above) can be contributors/Elite members, BUT, make it so that rep counts towards gaining the ranks as well, so, for example, a person with 300 posts and 4 rep would not be such a high rank as someone with 200 posts and 80 rep.

Then, you could get rid of the contributor thing and still display it as the rank, but everyone would know that they are a contributor as they are a contributor rank.

Does that make any sense at all? sorry if it doesn't, or if it isn't possible

you will be, you're rank 7, which is Knight-Lieutenant, one rank above Knight which is the first commisioned officer

i dont like it because ill lose my contributer status and then wouldnt ppl spam more?

as I said, rep counts towards it as well, so for example, 1 rep =5 posts, then you would be rank 6 or 7, so you wouldn't lose your contributor status. It would only make it harder for spammers to reach the high ranks.

Got it all setup..Just a small hint.. Your account on the boards will not only require 100+ posts, but it also requires a high amount of reputation AND your account on the site must be older than X amount of days. I'm not giving out any numbers. Best of luck to everyone.
