Dead Island - Audio problem in CO-OP

I recently started playing Dead Island (PC version) with my lil bro and when we started playing on lan I noticed that the sound was abit off, but after a careful check I noticed that I am actually hearing ALL the animation sounds, vendor sounds and speech which my brother's character is making.
This proplem doesn't occur to him tho, so it is just me.

Could it have to do something with headphones?
Also the funny thing is that I have checked guides and they tell me to edit settings.ini and there isn't eny in Dead Island folder >_>

[Reloaded] version doesnt seem to install settings files to that location at all, but managed to scoop them up after some kinky search :3

Were you able to fix this sound issue? I never used to have this problem, it just started today for some reason. Tried restarting game and checked my audio settings. I can't seem to figure this out.
