Private messages?

I am trying to send a message to gastric but when i send it i go back to my inbox page..... i click the dropdown arrow and go to "sent items" and my sent message isn't there.... I don't know if it sent it to him or not, am I doing something wrong?

you probably sent it but you have the copy of sent item turned off
