Nick's Guide to be a GOOD MMowned Active Member

Well their are A LOT of people that are "TRYING" to contribute but this is a Guide that I made because I am extremely bored.

Well you start off by being a Leacher, this is because MMowned is for people that want to contribute to others to GAIN something back. That is why their are ACTIVE members and DONATORS and the all mighty Contributors. I'll not go into MUCH detail about these 3 ranks.

Well first of all let's take http://www.mmowned.com/forums/emulat...ostmourne.html

This person is a Leacher and will REMAIN a leacher because he didn't really contribute. Contributing isn't just saying ZOMG HERE GUYS IMA MAKE A GUIDE IN LESS THEN 1 SECOND AND POST IT SO I CAN GET REP AND ZOMGPWN OTHERS BY GOING TO SCAM SECTION AND TAKE ACCOUNTS!

    ...no

If he really wanted to contribute he would FIRST go search and check the last 5-10 pages if someone already put up[ that post. BUT he didn't that is why he used this sword model and SO many people failed him because WE ALL KNOW THIS LOOKS LIKE LICH KING WEOPEN! THAT IS WHY THEIR ARE OVER 6000+ Posts about it and people just put crazy stats on it.

This is what he SHOULD of done, do some research and ready OTHER posts, before posting a guide and try to contribute try to reply on some topics, build some rep with people, PM them, and the best of all, TRY TO START A PRIVATE SERVER AND ASK FOR HELP. That is the best way because you can interact with other members and this will build you REP ( Not +REP but REP with members, like friendship. ) So basicly, try to build up friends and reply on posts and try to help BY REPLYING! Not making a guide...YET.

When making a guide, for example a guide about..hmm let's see... I can't find any posts that people did wrong but...hmm ok here we go... Let's see if you make a guide to make a server ( NO! Don't do it though because their over rated and their SO MANY ! ) Then try to be MORE SPECIFIC! Don't say ok so set up MySql, NO! You got to TELL them HOW to set it up. Best way is 1. Screen Shot 2nd. Video and 3rd. BE SPECIFIC! Don't do shortcuts. Also show examples at the end of what YOU acomplished. Now here's a thing I BARELY see, if you know any bugs YOU went though, POST IT so people don't do the same mistake, and then tell them how to correct it.

Well then once you have done that and then just start making guides, any guides that YOU think is useful and not overrated.

Most IMPORTANT! Don't EVER ask for +REP because then people will think you are JUST doing this for REP and then it will STICK to you for the rest of your MMowned life, even if you make 1000 accounts, it's called IP TRACk.

    Thanks.

Sorry about the big BLOCK OF TEXT /crit 1000

Just read through it and understand it.

We should make a sticky in here that says you can't give rep in general...

Jesus stop saying that, the majority of us now you can't give rep in General Chat, but the majority of us now, its really not hard to rep someone for something in General Chat

Agreed with Banksey. Every post I see of your's shade599 is "Omg you can't give rep in General Chat." Just leave it alone, they'll find out themselves when they try to rep someone and see it won't let 'em.

You can't rep in general, but you can find other post from the user you want to rep, and then rep them in that post...
