So, I got in trouble at school for going into the command promt at school, my friend wanted me to make him an account on the school, it didn't work though... I got in trouble and there saying it was illegal for trying to go into the command promt and trying to make an account, is it true?

Depends where you live , but command prompt I highly doubt as long as you didn't mess with anything.

it depends on the laws where you live. in britain, for example, it may well be as it is illegal "to attempt to gain unauthorised access to a computer system", and making your friend an account if they shouldn't have one is unauthorised access.

They probably won't do anything except maybe a fine, but if you're a minor I doubt they'll do anything but a warning.

Trying to make an account should be the problem. I would say schools got their own laws, just try to excuse and say you dont do it again. Hope you didnt get to many problems, where I live someone can get banned from school because of that.

Thats crap ^^ at our school we got a new central server serving as a mainframe for every pc and laptop. If we can hack it ( offc not wreck it xD) they reward us cuz they r pretty much using us to fix all the glitches and bugs ^^

eh im pretty sure its not illegal the most they will do is take away your computer privileges.
