Ok well my other thread about this got deleted for being in the wrong place...although there is really no good place to put it.
I have sold an Anarchy Online account to gamepal about 5 months ago. Recently I checked their account listings. I noticed the account I sold them is still on there, months later? This game isn't very popular and they most likely will 'never' sell the account at the insane markup price listed.
I emailed them offering a complete refund of what they paid me for the account to start with, nobody loses anything that way, It doesn't cost them anything to have an inactive account waiting for someone to buy it. They have made me jump through several hoops and overall they have just ignored me.
Customer support is horrible, The live help talks to you like 'you' are serving them not the other way around. They don't actually help you either, they just send you to someone else. If you are not familiar with Gamepal....They are somewhat shady. You can check BBB and see they have several complaints against them, and that they actually went out of business and relocated sometime ago.
Because they are unwilling to cooperate, What if I was to email the support of anarchy online, telling them my account was hacked. I get it back without gamepal's consent, even though I offered them a full refund. Can they pursue any legal actions?
I have heard the reason these companies relist accounts sold them to by almost 3 x is to cover things like this - people taking back their accounts.
Anyone have any knowledge about this? thanks.
