Free Xbox Live

So it turns out my xbox live ran out and it was a reccuring sub. on my credit card. So I decided to NOT update my credit card and well turns out when i want to play online all i need to do is when it says to update it go to update it click the card you want to change then close out of them and enjoy.
1)Run out of live and have your credit card become outdated IE.The date it runs out
2) Go to the credit card when it prompts you, click it then go back to the screen you were in
3)????
4)Free Xbox Live
WHENEVER IT SAYS TO UPDATE JUST REPEAT THE ABOVE!

There are two types of Xbox Live.

Silver

Gold.

Gold is the multiplayer friendly one and you get all demos a week a head of time, and you get "premium services" for free with no additional charge from Microsoft.

Silver is the free Xbox Live, can do everything except the things stated above.
